Playlist – July 12, 2010

Playing catch-up this week. I’m getting more and more into the new Seabear album, “We Built A Fire.” Next is a great track from Toro y Moi that came out a few weeks ago. Totally different from his ‘chillwave’ stuff. So far, I’ve loved nearly everything he’s done. This is a great live version of “Modern Drift” from Efterklang’s album, “Magic Chairs.” Here’s an early 90’s track from the oft-forgotten Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. We still play this one around the house every so often. Finally, I’m still into this Big Hard Excellent Fish (collaboration between Pete Wylie and Robin Guthrie) track that I recently re-discovered. I first heard it randomly on the radio when it came out in the early 90’s and it stayed with me. This video isn’t much to look at, but check out the track…
