Playlist June 28, 2010.

A few forgotten favorites for this week’s playlist. I have loved this Jori Hulkonnen track for years now (especially the Tuomas Salmela Emore remix) and was happy to discover recently that it had this beautiful video to go along with it. I could watch it like on repeat for hours. “Antlers” is one of my favorite tracks from the Apparatjik album. Took me a while to get into this one, but I’m now fully loving it. The Fall’s “New Big Prinz” is another from my list of all-time favorite songs. This performance has a bonus appearance from Tony Wilson (who is becoming a recurring presence on this blog). Another album that took me a while to get into is “Logos” by Atlas Sound. This track is one of the highlights for me from that record. Finally, “Slide” is a track from Scala (from the excellent “To You In Alpha” album), a band that grew out of the remnants of Seefeel in the mid-90s.
